Nicoles 5 year old answers

I saw this on a friends page.  I asked the same questions that I did last year on her 4th birthday.

Such a smart girl.

1. What is your favorite color?  Pink and Purple

2. What is your favorite toy?  Everything

3. What is your favorite tv show?  WildCrats because you learn all kinds of things and Arthur

4. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Peanut Butter and Jelly

5. What is your favorite game? Connect Four

6. What is your favorite snack?  Fruit snack

7. What is your favorite animal?  Giraffe or my moose, or and she named off 3 other animals.  

Favorite animal in the zoo? Cat or Toby and Charlie (the dogs)

8. What is your favorite song? Jesus loves me

9. What is your favorite book? I don’t really have a favorite because I read all of them all the time.

10. Who is your best friend?  Kind of Tyler, and Ryleigh, and Aiden B, and Mechi.

11. What is your favorite cereal? Lucky Charms

12. What is your favorite thing to do outside? At school the monkey bars, at home the swings and on vacation going down the slide

13. What is your favorite drink? Kool Aid squeeze drinks.  She said the orange drinks that you always tell me to put down and eat my food. 

14. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas so you can make a snow angel

15. What do you want to be when you grow up? A chef

16. I am afraid of ... shadows 

17. Describe what it means to be a good friend. 

Treat others the way you way you want them to be and then they will treat you nice as well.  Or it can be when someone is being mean to someone and then someone can pat their back and hug them, that would be a good friend.

18. What is your favorite time of day? Craft time

19. Describe your best day ever? Playing outside when at school

20. Describe your favorite hobby. 

She needed help again explaining what this was.  So she said making card, so that way when someone is far away from you and you send them a card and let them know you miss them and love them.

22. What makes you feel happy? When people treat me the way they want to be treated

Redo of Nicole questions

I decided to ask Nicole the same question that I asked her when she turned four.  Wanted to see if things had changed for her.  Last time Jake had been deployed for a few months.

She so funny.  My favorite answer is the one for when I asked her what she is afraid of.   The first answer is the old one.

17. Describe what it means to be a good friend. People be other friends with you  Tyler and Ethan aren't nice to me but I have to stop them from doing this. //
New answer=we explained this more to her and didn't get an answer

18. What is your favorite time of day? Night Time, sleeping with momma. (Friday she sleeps in my big bed)//

Birthday Girl-the BIG 4

With Jake being gone for so long it seems like the questions are more centered on me.  We will have to wait and see what she comes up with last year.

For her birthday next week she wants to go to Burger King and eat and play.  I plan to take her cake there and her bests are coming too.  We plan to do a big party when Jake gets back.  Holding back some gifts for when he gets back and we can open together.  

Nat is 8 months

So Natalie is 8 months now.  She an scoot all around the house now.  She started really moving and getting around last week, it was so exciting to see.  Now for her to learn how to actually crawl.  Her second tooth on the bottom finally popped thru(4/21)  Her teething is so much worse then Nicole ever was.  She is eating everything we eat but still hates to have cold drinks.  So that makes giving her a cup of milk or juice hard because it needs to be warm for her.  She is still eating baby food, I think she actually prefer it, more out of laziness though so that way we are feeding her instead of her having to work for it.  She is wearing size 3 diapers still and wearing at least 9 month clothes.

Nicole is doing great.  She learns more everyday.  Sending her to the Christian school was the best decision.  The amount of things she knows just baffles me sometimes.

Jake is still gone, a few more months to go.  UGH.  But he is loving it.  He has wanted to work and learn the new plane since he got here and is now getting the chance deployed.  Something we kind of figured would happen for him.  We are able to talk with him everyday so that is nice, but eventually we might run out of things to talk about.  Nicole wants to know specifically what day he is returning and we don't know that yet, so everyday she asks both of us.  She is doing pretty good with him being gone but its only been a few weeks so far.

Our summer is filling up fast.  Next month we are headed to Aunt Cindys and Uncle Dennis' again for a little while then Nicole is going to her Granny's in Oklahoma for a week without me.  She spent all of spring break in Oklahoma without me.  It was so weird to have one kid again.  But she did great and I know she will do fine again.

Nat is 4 months

Well Natalie is four months now.  On December 5th she rolled over from belly to back.  She can almost roll over from back to belly but her big ol head gets in the way.  She is in 3 month and 3-6 month clothes and growing out of those.  She wears size 1 diapers still, but I think that will only be for a few more weeks.  She is starting to get on a pattern and schedule of things.  She has slept at least 6 hours a night since birth but now we are up to about 10 hours at night.  She has slept in her sleeper thing until this past week when she moved to her crib and pack n play finally.  We should see her official weight here in a few days.  I bet she is over 15 lbs.  On the 17th of December we started on solid foods.  Guideline say one teaspoon, well our chunky money laughs or screams at that.  She can power down her bottle and then a big ol heaping scoop of food.  So far she likes sweet potatoes, bananas and rice cereal.  When she gets tired and fussy she likes to be held upright and over your shoulder so she can see the world around her.

Hopefully I can remember to blog every few months or so.  Next time Nicole.

Last road trip

So I took Nicole on our last road trip as a family of three, too bad Jake was in Alaska.  We went ot Shawnee, OK to visit Jakes Aunt and Uncle.  Nicole loves going to visit them and seeing them.  They live on bit of land so Nicole loves being able to run around and have very little restrictions.  Her Uncle PawPaw as she calls Uncle Dennis has a golf cart that she loves to ride and now drive.  She told me "mommy, he goes fast"  so cute.  It was a nice quiet few days of Nicole playing in her new pool and riding around on the golf cart.  During this trip I got us tickets to the Oklahoma  Relief Concert being hosted by Toby Keith but more importantly featuring Garth Brooks.  Garth Brooks is someone I have wanted to see for a number of years.  Uncle PawPaw, Nicole ad I headed to Norman, Ok the site of the concert, on the way there we passed by some of the tornado damage that struck the cities of Shawnee and Moore, it was amazing to see the damage that has happened.  Makes me pretty happy to be in my home.
All week I had watched the weather for Norman, OK more specifically OU Stadium, it kept showing mild 80's but on game day it was well over 90 degrees and inside the stadium that holds over 88000 people it was hotter.  We were on the field about 20 rows back.  When we got there the opening act had start already, we thought nearly 2 hrs early was enough time to get there, but again 80 thousand people converging on one town is a lot.  The opening act was Mel Tillis and to say Dennis was excited over that would be an understatement.  I know he was tagging along for the fun of being with us girls but he was pretty excited to see an act he liked.  After Mel was Garth Brooks and joined by Trisha Yearwood another performer I had wanted to see.  Garth sang for over an our.  At this point we had been in the sun for over 2 hrs and me and baby girl were just about done.  So we left with Garth singing The Dance,  it was a good time.  Nicole doesn't realize it now but she saw a great concert at the young age of 2.  Her first concert was in my belly and for the life of me I cant remember who it was we saw.
After the concert me and Nicole headed home the next day.  It was a good 4 days in Shawnee, next time we are there we will have a new bundle of love with us.

Speaking of baby, I sure don't remember all these Braxton Hicks with Nicole, Natalie/Alison is kicking my butt.  I see the doc on Wednesday and going to see if he really thinks 6 more weeks is doable.

Other than that Jake gets home on Friday and then we start the countdown to Nicole's birthday, Mikes visit and baby girl Chapman.

So many things are going on over the next few months.
I did a little countdown of the events leading up to Nicole and thought I would do the same for this next girly.

June 28th-July 12 Jake leaves
July 3-7 Nicole and I travel to OKC
July 6th- Nicoles first concert
July 16th Nicoles Birthday

July 28th-Aug 1 ish-Jakes dad Mike is visiting
