Teeth

So Nicoles two bottom teeth are completly broken thru.  She is not fussy about it at all.  Still her happy go lucky self, which is a blessing to us.  She won't let you take a look at them though.  She holds her mouth closed so tight and if you are able to break in she shoves her tongue out.  Its a fun little game.  We leave in one week from today for Washington and Oregon.  Can't wait to go and see every one.  Hopefully we get a nice day and we can take Nicole to the zoo while we are there.  It is almost above freezing at night here so soon the snow will go away.  So exciting.  Ready to get started on our last summer here in Alaska.

TUTU

I got Nicole the cutest Ladybug Tutu with matching bow.  She has no hair so the bow will have to wait.  I couldnt resist sharing her pictures.  By the way she is doing better and is back to her normal eating habits which I think is a good sign.  She got to try ribs this week and loved them.  I gave her green beans before I heated them and she wouldnt eat them but when I heated them for dinner she ate them. So picky.  Well here is her tutu pics, I think she liked it.

So sick

On Friday I contacted Nicole's pediatrician about her cough.  After describing her symptoms they told me to run her down to the ER to be checked out.  I was of course a worry wart and nervous about this.  Did I miss something, is something really wrong.  All of these things went thru my mind.  We were seen rather quickly at the ER, from what I could hear it was a baby filled day there.  They gave Nicole her first chest x-ray and not her last she needs another one next week.  The doc came into see us and said that Nicole has pneumonia and RSV.  I was shocked.  He said that she looks great her stats are good and she seems to be a really happy baby.  But after looking at her films he saw something in her lungs.  Oh my poor baby.  The doc said that there was nothing I could have done differently for her.  So now she is on amoxicilin.  This whole week she has been eating only a little even though she loves to eat.  Well today so far she is inhaling the food.  I think this is a good sign.  She didnt seem as fussy either.  Now both me and Jake are sick.  So much for pumping ourselves full of vitamins to ward off illness.  I have never seen Jake sick this many times in all our years together combined.  Hopefully we get well. 

Sicky

This has been a long few days.  Our little one is always so happy and cheerful, but not the last few days.  It seems Nicole learns a new sound or a new way to make a sound every few days, well on Friday it was a WHINE, and man oh man.  Then she also is starting to get what I think is her stranger anxiety and the don't leave me is in full effect.  And on Sunday she started a nasty cough. And I think we may be getting a tooth.  Let us get thru this week, it may be a long one.
